It has been a long-term relationship for me working with GHD and it is because of the exceptional work.”
Current GHD client, Americas
The health of our planet is inextricably linked to how well we manage our water resources. Water utilities face mounting pressure from ageing infrastructure, climate change and changing regulatory environments.
Meeting future demands requires innovation, collaboration and resilient planning. Take our recent work with the City of Patterson in Florida, United States. What began as a project to oversee meter installation and data integration has since grown into a broader partnership, helping the city optimise its investment through digital integration, a new geospatial digital twin and ongoing regulatory support.

Our impact:
A relentless focus on resilient infrastructure
We are living in uncertain times. Rapid geopolitical, economic, technological and environmental changes are impacting the way many organisations operate and these changes are likely to continue. Communities face ageing infrastructure, reduced government funding and rising costs. Now more than ever, organisations need to be agile, while ensuring their operations can remain resilient and reliable.

“None of these achievements would be possible without our 12,000 talented people who deliver outstanding projects and innovative solutions, together with our clients.”
Message from CEO
It’s a privilege and honour to succeed Rob Knott as Chair, who has been in the role for eight years. Like his predecessors, Rob worked hard to sustain a high performing board supporting and challenging our leadership teams to continue GHD’s story of growth and diversification. He was also a visible champion of our employee ownership model. I look forward to carrying that work forward and am very pleased with the new director appointments that we have made this year, each bringing different perspectives.
As an employee-owned business, we are driven by our values, long-term objectives and strategic goals rather than short-term financial returns. Our business has continued to produce strong returns for our employee shareholders and the company remains in a strong position for future growth.
Our financial performance is only one measure of our success. I’m pleased that our performance in health and safety, client satisfaction and sustainability has also improved over the past year. These results highlight our ongoing commitment to our values of integrity, respect, safety and teamwork.
On behalf of the Board, I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our clients, partners, and especially our people, whose talent, dedication and focus have helped us achieve these strong results.

My first year as CEO has been immensely inspiring and rewarding. I have had the privilege to meet with our valued clients, partners and our committed people in many of our offices and see first-hand the innovative, impactful work we are delivering around the world.
This year, we achieved record revenues of AUD 3.01 billion, translating to an annual growth rate of 4%. Our intentional diversification across geographies and markets enables GHD to continue to expand our capabilities in growth markets, including the Americas and Southeast Asia. Our recent acquisition of RIM Architects significantly enhances GHD’s architectural capabilities in the US and supports our focus on strategic growth of our US Federal sector in the Pacific Region.
None of these achievements would be possible without our 12,000+ talented people who deliver outstanding projects and innovative solutions, together with our clients. From planning and infrastructure to technology-enabled transformation, our people continue to live our purpose every day and stand shoulder-to-shoulder with our clients to make water, energy and communities sustainable for generations to come.

Our impact
on the community
Creating lasting community benefit goes beyond the projects we work on. Through our philanthropic programs, we support local and global initiatives that directly benefit communities.
Through our GHD in the Community local programs, we encourage employees to participate in volunteering, pro bono work and fundraising, supporting causes such as environmental care, food banks and STEAM education.
> Zealandia Fence Replacement: 25 Years On | GHD News
Our first global GHD in the Community partnership with SolarBuddy is helping to address energy poverty by supporting SolarBuddy’s work to replace harmful energy sources with sustainable solar solutions. This year, GHD volunteers around the world assembled 350 JuniorBuddy solar lights, which will be distributed to children living in communities experiencing extreme energy poverty. Replacing kerosene lamps with clean, sustainable solar lights not only improves health and safety, but also supports children’s education by giving them the opportunity to study after dark.
This year marks the fifth anniversary of the GHD Foundation. Each year, 1% of GHD’s net profits are dedicated to advancing equity in STEAM education and employment for underrepresented groups. These funds also support community relief initiatives, including disaster recovery and youth empowerment, contributing to the development of resilient communities worldwide.
In FY2024, the GHD Foundation disbursed AU $2.9 million in funding, bringing its total philanthropic investment to date to AU $6.8 million globally. The support reached 60 organisations over seven countries. Through this giving, the Foundation has not only expanded its reach but also strengthened its strategy, sharpened its impact and forged deeper industry relationships that will carry it forward.
